FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS™ 2009

October 14 - 25, 2009

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS™ set to light up Berlin for the fifth time

The fifth FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS™ is taking place from 14 to 25 October 2009 and kicks off with a spectacular opening ceremony. Until 25 October, Berlin will sparkle as a range of illuminations and projections light up more than 50 famous landmarks and spaces, including Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral and the radio tower. For the first time, the landmark Europa-Center, as well as Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in the west of the city will be illuminated.

Special “lightseeing” tours on the Light-Liner bus, by boat on the Light-Ship, on foot with the Light-Cruso or by rickshaw with the Light-Velo will give locals and visitors alike the chance to experience the creative compositions up close.
