The fourth sales phase for 2006 FIFA World Cup™ match tickets opened on 15 February 2006 at midday (CET). "First come, first served" applies to sales during this period, i.e. applications will be processed in the order they are received. Ticket supplies will be frequently updated as new tickets become available through to the end of the phase on 15 April 2006. Tickets will become available as stadium seating plans are finalised, and from tickets offered for resale after being returned for non-payment or other reasons. For this reason, more tickets may be available later in the phase than at the beginning. On March 27th the Organising Committee will open a Ticket portal on www.FIFAworldcup.com for the benefit of the fans. The platform provides two scenarios. Tickets can be returned to the LOC, with a full refund, provided that the LOC is subsequently able to sell such tickets (the “Resale” process). In addition, tickets may be transfered by ticket purchasers to nominated individuals (the “Transfer” process). The portal will be opened in two time windows. From March 27th to April 9th and from May 1st all the way to 2 days prior match day. The interruption between the two time windows is due to the imperative of precise seat allocation in the stadia and the print of the tickets. Details of the tickets at fifaworldcup.com ![]() |
