The exhibition at the
Museen Dahlem gives us a glimpse into the daily lives of seven people who are very much influenced by their fascination for and the aesthetic of comics. The acclaimed illustrator Marko Djurdjevic, the prizewinning graphic novel author Ulli Lust, publisher Dirk Rehm, gallery owner Carsten Laqua, collector René Köhler, manga enthusiast Nicole and comic researcher Professor Dietrich Grünewald - are all united through their passion for this type of pictorial narrative.

The European Enlightenment is famed as an epoch of literature and philosophy, an epoch of writing. Its significance for the fine arts, however, has often been overlooked, which is unfair, for in art the Enlightenment found a force that is able to change our world by creating new ones. The exhibition 'On the Plurality of Worlds' revolves around this revolutionary idea, inspired by the speculations of Enlightenment thinkers that our cosmos is merely one of many universes.

Nulis, ancestor of a native American clan on the West coast of Canada, welcomes visitors to the Humboldt Box with open arms. His mask is still worn today during Potlatch ceremonies held by the Kwakiutl and is a symbol of the generosity with which gifts are handed out to guests. It is with this gesture that the
Humboldt Box invites visitors to catch a glimpse of the project of the future: the Humboldt Forum, due to be erected directly below the box on Schlossplatz.

Magnificent artefacts from Turkestan, now Central Asia, go some way to answering questions as to what material cultural artefacts are able to tell us of the identity of the countries they originate from and what significance historical collections have for these societies now. The complex diversity of the Islamic religion, its orthodox and mystical aspects, as well as the phenomena of everyday religious practice are illustrated through a range of objects taken from various Muslim sources.

Greeks, Etruscans and Romans in the
Altes Museum. From 24 February 2011, ancient worlds will be opened up for people to explore in a completely new display in the Altes Museum. Now that the Etruscans and Romans on the building's upper floor have already enthralled some 250,000 visitors since their unveiling in July 2010, the Collection of Classical Antiquities is about to present its world-famous collection of Greek art in a wholly new guise on the main floor.
