After the ceremonial opening of the APW 2011 at Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt, this year's Business and Science Program was opened with the Foreign Economic Forum Asia-Pacific at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. A two-day business and science conference on the three main topics - organized by Asia-Pacific Forum Berlin and Berlin Partner GmbH - was the kick-off event at the Berlin City Hall.

Expert Tours and VIP City Tours around Berlin offered distraction, presented important sites of the health, food and water industry, and gave insights into the German capital.
