Congratulations

aktuell seems to have a responsive and far-flung readership that TIME magazine and Der Spiegel might well envy.

I‘ve been writing for national and international newspapers and other publications for some 60 years, but I‘ve never had a response to compare to the one to my aktuell article on my father.

So far, I‘ve received letters, emails and phone calls from some 15 ex-Berliners (and one ex-Breslauer), including from a former teacher in Caputh, now 93 and hale and hearty in Israel.

Others contacted me from South America and from all parts of the United States.

Last week, I invited to my home eight people (including spouses), ex- Berliners who live in the Los Angeles area, and one man from Florida who happened to be here on vacation.

We exchanged backgrounds, and were impressed by both the similarities and differences in our experiences.

Anyhow, congratulations on your publication‘s impact and keep the issues coming.
