Hanna Solf (1887–1954)
Hanna Solf was the co-founder of the anti-Nazi resistance group known as the “Solf Circle”. In the 1920s, she participated in meetings of the humanist “SeSiSo Club” chaired by her husband Wilhelm in the Hotel Kaiserhof. In 1944 Solf was arrested and sent to a series of concentration camps where she was interrogated and tortured. She spoke as a witness at the trial of the major Nazi war criminals in Nuremberg.
